Out Standing in her Field - Life on a farm

Memories from Ellen
"When I think back to when we were kids, some of my fondest memories were visiting Susan at the farm.... it was always laid back and relaxing.... she and her family were always very friendly and "Mrs. A" cooking was to die for. Anyway...I remember one night we had a sleepover in "Grampa's Cabin"..... we were hanging out listening to "Men at Work" and every time I hear one of their songs, I think of that time. If I remember correctly there was a bat involved and maybe a little screaming occurred... Good Times."

  1. I think there was more than one bat involved. I remember my first social event when I moved to Petitcodiac - Susan Adsett's birthday party! Wow! I couldn't believe I was being invited. It was all so new - being in the country, jumping in a hay mow at a birthday shin dig. And Susan Warren talking about a creepy dream she had about jumping on a pitch fork in a hay mow. Thank God it was only a dream. I loved that barn, I loved Grandma's house, Abe, the cat, Susan's enormous closet, the secret library, the way Hugh used to jump when coming downstairs and kick his feet up to the ceiling, flirting madly with Hugh. I don't know how Sue put up with all of us crushing on Hugh constantly through the teen years. Hee hee hee!

  4. Okay, that is the scariest snowman I have ever seen. See, the artist was there, even then...
